Connection:
The Impact of Ayurveda
For me, Ayurveda is a daily practice back to health. Through these daily practices and guidelines of how to live in harmony with myself and with the natural world including plants, food, relationships, communities, the memory of health is awakened. In my life I had a feeling of disconnection to my needs and my natural rhythms as a woman.
I was never taught about my menstrual cycle and how to harness the waves of energy, power and knowledge. This isn’t anyone’s fault, it is a symptom of generations of women passing down the survival skill of keep quiet and disconnected. I was taught without words to feel shame and hide essentially that I was a woman. I absorbed the imprint that I could not be a sensual being, a bleeding woman, a deeply feeling woman, an intuitive being, a being capable of accessing ancient wisdom. Not so long ago, I didn’t even know how disconnected I was. My journey with Ayurveda and meditation is my reclaiming my body/earth wisdom that we as women carry in our wombs, blood and bones.
My purpose in sharing my journey and the wisdom of Ayurveda is a way of remembering this ‘Buddhi’, this code of knowledge we were all born from. The wisdom of the seed designed to be a great oak.
Ayurveda is natural. Ayurveda is remembered. It is a living memory of vitality. I invite you into this remembering through the structure of Ayurveda, the Art of Life. May it be a way to come into connection with yourself and the natural world around you. This connection leads you to your natural state of health and wellbeing.
In our work together, we will discover your unique design and the pathway to connection, vibrancy and health.
